Samantha has a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours. She is an intern psychologist undergoing supervised practice.
Samantha obtained a National Indigenous Cadetship while she was studying with the Department of Child Safety. After graduating in 2005 Samantha started employment with the Bidgerdii Community Health Service in the Social and Emotional Well Being program. In 2007 she started as a case manager in the Rockhampton Mental Health community team and became responsible for mental health outreach to a remote Aboriginal community.
